Our study “Core-level x-ray spectroscopy of infinite-layer nickelate: LDA+DMFT study” is published in Physical Review X. This work was conducted by K. Higashi (master course student in our group) in collaboration with M. Winder and J. Kunes in TU Wien.

Our two articles “Electronic and crystal structures of LnFeAsO1-xHx (Ln= La, Sm) studied by x-ray absorption spectroscopy, x-ray emission spectroscopy, and x-ray diffraction: I & II” are published in Journal of Physics: Condensed Matter.
27 April 2021 [Publication]
Our article “Metamagnetic Behavior in a Quadruple Perovskite Oxide” is published in Inorganic Chemistry. This particle reports a new perovskite oxide CeMn3Cr4O12, synthesized by Okazaki-san and Yamada-sensei in OPU, for which we performed a DFT calculation to understand the electronic structure and its funny metamagnetic behavior.
19 April 2021 [Publication]
Our article “Hard x-ray photoemission study on strain effect in LaNiO3 thin films” is published in Applied Physics Letters. We study the strain effect on electronic structure of LaNiO3 by a computational simulation using density functional theory for the hard x-ray photoemission spectroscopy data measured by Dr. Yamagami in OIST amd his colleagues.

Our article “2p x-ray absorption spectroscopy of 3d transition metal systems” is published in Journal of Electron Spectroscopy and Related Phenomena. This is a review article about theoretical approaches for 2p x-ray absorption spectroscopy. The LDA+DMFT-based method, which we have been developing in the past 5 years, is introduced in this article.

Our article “X-ray spectroscopy of the rare-earth nickelate LuNiO3: LDA+DMFT study” is published in Physical Review B. This project is conducted by Mathias Winder in this Ph.D course under the co-supervision by Prof. Jan Kunes in TU Wien and me. Congratulation to Mathias!
12 June 2021 [Publication]
Our article “A Sequential Electron Doping for Quadruple Perovskite Oxides ACu3Co4O12 (A = Ca, Y, Ce)” is published in Inorganic Chemistry. This study reports new quadrople perovskite oxides ACu3Co4O12 synthesized by Prof. Yamada in OPU. We proposed in this work a simple rule to understand the electron doping effect in this material class.

Our article “Damping of spinful excitons in LaCoO3 by thermal fluctuations: Theory and experiment” is published in Physical Review B. This study report for the first time the temperature evolution of the excitonic dispersions in LaCoO3 by resonant inelastic x-ray scattering (RIXS) experiment at ESRF in Grenoble with great effort by experimentalists there and Dr. Ru-Pan Wang in the group of Frank de Groot in Utrecht. The spin fluctuation hidden behind the experimental data was unveiled by hard-core version of the bosonic dynamical mean-field theory simulation which is developed by me with Prof. Jan Kunes and Dr. Andrii Sotnikov in this study.

I have finished 4-years postdoc in the group of Prof. Jan Kunes in TU Wien. Now I started a new job in Osaka Prefecture University as an assistant professor in the group of Prof. Takayuki Uozumi.

Our article “LDA+DMFT approach to resonant inelastic x-ray scattering in correlated materials” is published in Physical Review B. This study is selected as “Editor’s Suggestion”!
